翻译 Shein looking for logistics Supervisor in US! Help cross-border sellers optimize the import process。

Shein is adding to its executive staff as it seeks to consolidate its presence in the U.S. market and diversify, according to Reuters. The company is looking for a U.S. logistics executive who will serve as a liaison between Shein’s U.S. and Singapore headquarters, according to linkedin’s job listing. According to Modern Retail, the company is also hiring a head of compliance for anti-money laundering and some marketing staff in the US.

The logistics executive will manage Shein’s relationships with third-party logistics companies, warehouses and trucking companies. The person will also help the seller’s overseas logistics team “optimize the import process and handle some daily customs clearance anomalies (orders from cross-border sellers),” according to the job listing.

Shein is popular with American consumers because of its low prices, and lawmakers in both the United States and Brazil have argued that the company takes advantage of customs exemptions that allow low-priced packages sent to consumers to enter their countries duty-free. The US exemption was raised from $200 to $800 in 2016, initially to offset the cost of inspecting low-priced goods, but they now believe low-cost e-commerce platforms such as Shein benefit disproportionately from it. As a result, they are considering a change in the tax rate on goods from international e-commerce companies.
