It is understood that Amazon launched the second Amazon LaunchPad Innovation Award, to support European entrepreneurs, and winners will receive 100,000 euros of the annual venture award. The first Amazon LaunchPad Innovation Award was held in 2021, there were more than 1,500 companies from 30 countries to register the game.
Last year, the startup from the UK WEWALK has received 100,000 euros of “Annual Startup” award with its smart cane. Four finalists last year were CasusGrill from Denmark, Påhoj, Sweden Påhoj, Planetcare and Callase from the UK. Each startup has received a grant of 10,000 euros, and Amazon LaunchPad service is used for free for a year.
The company who wants to participate in the competition this year can sign up before May 29, and the startup of the company needs to sell physical products and is the conditions for brand owners. They also need to register in the EU (or UK), and the number of initial employees should be less than 250, and the annual turnover is less than 50 million euros. All participating contents will be used as an assessment criteria based on the aesthetics, design, originality and uniqueness.
