Heavy! The first national standard for cross-border e-commerce overseas warehouses has been released!

In recent years, major domestic e-commerce platforms have opened overseas tracks, launched overseas shopping platforms and set up overseas warehouses in the local area. According to the news on December 12th, the State Administration of Market Supervision and the State Standardization Administration Committee recently issued the Requirements for the Operation and Management of Overseas Warehouses in cross-border electronic commerce (GB/T 43291—2023). This is the first national standard in the field of cross-border e-commerce overseas warehouses, achieving a zero breakthrough. The standard will be implemented on February 1, 2024.

It is reported that this standard stipulates the basic requirements of overseas warehouse service providers in cross-border electronic commerce, as well as the requirements of operation management and management guarantee, and is applicable to the operation management of overseas warehouse service providers in cross-border electronic commerce. This regulation will further improve the overall competitiveness and development level of the cross-border e-commerce industry.

The promulgation of the Code also marks a step forward in the standardization and standardization process of China’s cross-border e-commerce industry.
