Musk was nominated for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize!

It is reported that Marius Nelson, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, nominated Musk as a candidate for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his firm efforts to defend freedom of dialogue and speech in a world that continues to be polarized. Nelson pointed out that many technology companies founded, owned or operated by Musk are committed to improving society, enhancing understanding of the earth and space, and promoting global communication and connectivity to make the world closer and safer.

Other nominees include UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Palestinian journalist Hind Khoudary, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, Colombian President Gustavo Petro and former US President Donald Trump.

In addition to companies such as Tesla and SpaceX, Musk’s star chain project is leading the revolution of global communication and contact. Star chain not only provides services for users, but also changes the pattern of modern warfare. It is reported that Ukraine used the star chain to sink two Russian warships.

As of February 20th, Musk’s wealth was valued at $213 billion. His scientific and technological innovation not only achieved great success in business, but also made outstanding contributions to world peace and development. So far, SpaceX has launched nearly 6,000 satellites for the world’s largest satellite communication system, 406 of which have been out of orbit, but there are still enough satellites to provide services for users.

Although Musk’s nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize is bound to cause controversy, it is worth noting that he is not the first controversial person nominated by a member of the Norwegian Progressive Party. In 2020, Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Progressive Party, nominated former US President Trump, but the Nobel Peace Prize was finally awarded to the World Food Program.

The final winner of the Nobel Peace Prize will be selected by the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which is composed of five anonymous members appointed by the Norwegian Parliament. The shortlist is expected to be produced by the end of March, and the results of most votes are expected to be announced in October. The award ceremony is planned to be held at the end of the year.
