They are preparing to carry out diplomatic and business counterattacks to make the EU influence back to Latin America. At the same time, the document also warned that the EU influence was gradually weakening in Latin America, and these spaces were gradually occupying by China and Russia.
In the past ten years, the European Union has always focused their attention in neighboring European regions and ignored relations with Latin America. Since 2015, the summit between the two regions has never held any summit. On the other hand, China ’s investment in the region between 2000 and 2020 has increased by 26 times, and it is the first or second important trading partner of Latin America and Caribbean countries. It replaces the EU in many countries and surpasses the United States. Of the 33 countries in the region, 21 were added to the “Belt and Road”.
The European Union considers formulating a plan to help Latin American countries through the economic and cultural aspects of economic and culture to restore the EU’s influence in Latin America. Latin American countries are currently in general in inflation and economic recession. Among them, the worst situation is Argentina. The latest inflation rate has reached 70%, a 20 -year high.
