The online B2B purchasing rate in European market is as high as 52%!

It is reported that the number of buyers of small and medium-sized enterprises from Germany increased by 14% in the first half of the year, and more and more British small and medium-sized enterprises also chose Alibaba as their main purchasing platform.

According to relevant sources, small and medium-sized enterprises are facing multiple challenges such as macroeconomic pressure, supply chain interruption and supplier relationship, so it is urgent to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness. This has led to more and more German SMEs turning to Alibaba platform, and the number of B2B buyers in the UK has also shown positive growth.

The increase of buyers in small and medium-sized enterprises reflects the trend of changing to digital procurement channels. Alibaba’s recent B2B market sentiment survey shows that at present, 52% of German SMEs purchase in the B2B online market, compared with 51% in the UK. Online B2B platform improves the convenience of cross-border procurement and enables European SMEs to explore more opportunities and reduce supply chain risks.

It is understood that Alibaba is still actively expanding buyers in France, the third largest e-commerce market in Europe. Earlier this year, Alibaba established a partnership with the French government agency Business France to promote the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in France. In the future, Alibaba will get more attention in the European e-commerce market.
