France is going on strike again! Fear of having an impact on European logistics.

According to reports, as a continuation of the protest against pension reform, the French trade union plans to hold another demonstration on Friday, October 13th, 2023, demanding that the public service sector pay a raise and increase the index points.

This new strike may have an impact on public transport, especially SNCF (French national railway company) and RATP (Paris public transport company), and they will announce the scope and extent of the impact a few days before the demonstration. It is not clear whether the strike is “indefinite” or just on October 13th. If the strike ends indefinitely, European logistics will not rule out the possibility of being affected by it.

Over the past few months, the French and trade unions have held one demonstration after another, hoping to get the government to make concessions on pension reform. Therefore, on Friday, October 13, 2023, major trade unions called on people to return to the streets for a one-day strike and cross-industry demonstrations.
