It is reported that Jingdong Logistics and Geopost, an international express delivery company under France Post, have recently reached a strategic cooperation agreement. According to this agreement, the two sides will cooperate in international supply chain logistics cooperation, jointly build an international express service covering Central Europe, and promote many European countries to achieve the fastest day.
Geopost, as a world-famous international express parcel logistics carrier, has a developed international transportation network in Europe, and its express delivery service has covered 28 countries and regions in Europe. At the same time, Jingdong Logistics has also continuously expanded its warehousing and logistics infrastructure in Europe, and has built self-operated overseas warehouses in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Britain, Spain, Poland and other countries, providing integrated supply chain logistics services such as warehousing, tail-loading, reverse and maintenance for local customers and China’s overseas brands.
According to the cooperation agreement, JD.com Logistics and Geopost will make joint efforts to build C2C and B2C international express delivery services, and strive to achieve “one order to the end” in the whole process of express parcels, and comprehensively guarantee the service quality through various measures such as door-to-door service (in China and some European countries), exclusive customer service, and digital full-time tracking. Compared with the mainstream international express delivery companies in the world, this cooperation will also improve the service time by 1-2 days, which will not only serve international bulk customers, but also provide high-quality international express logistics services for corporate customers, small and medium-sized sellers and independent stations in China and Europe.
In addition, JD.com Logistics will also assist Geopost to improve its warehousing service capabilities in Europe and help more customers achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement. With the help of Geopost’s developed express logistics network, Jingdong Logistics will further enhance the coverage and service capabilities of European express delivery services. At the same time, the two parties will jointly build a more competitive end-to-end FBA(Fulfilment by Amazon) service capability, and support B-side businesses to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Eric Dietz, executive vice president and COO of Geopost SA, said that Geopost has a rich logistics and transportation network in Europe, while Jingdong Logistics has its own warehouses in most European countries, and the advantages of cooperation between the two sides are complementary. Through the service capabilities of Jingdong Logistics, Geopost will further expand the China market to meet the cross-border logistics needs of more consumers and businesses.
