The latest news! Huawei is about to set up a factory in Europe!

Huawei has always been the representative of domestic mobile phone brands going abroad. It is reported that the brand entered France in 2003. At present, it has six R&D centers and one global design center in Paris, providing nearly 10,000 job opportunities. France was once Huawei’s largest overseas market (revenue of 2.5 billion euros in 2021). According to the latest report, Huawei will start to build the first mobile phone equipment factory in Europe in 2024, which will be located in Blumat near Strasbourg, France.

In 2020, Huawei announced that it would open its first factory in France to provide 5G technology to all of Europe. The initial investment of the plan is about 200 million euros (about 215 million US dollars). According to informed sources in France, the plant will be put into operation in 2025. The French factory will initially create 300 jobs, and it is expected to set up 500 long-term jobs. The established goal is to produce 1 billion euros of mobile network technology solutions every year, which can supply the whole European market. China is the third largest trading partner of France, second only to the European Union and the United States.

When Huawei first announced the establishment of a factory in Europe, the company said it would set up a demonstration center to show the production, software loading and testing process of wireless base stations. Huawei stressed that this project will improve the technological competitiveness of European industries and enhance the flexibility of local supply chains and infrastructure.
